Jungjin Joo - NJ

Growing up in a family extremely involved in the Ocean Providence, I've spent a lot of my time volunteering for NJ Ocean Tribe, traveling to countries like Paraguay and Kenya, and learning more about True Father's real vision. I feel such a strong connection to the ocean having gone fishing with my family ever since I was young. I participated in the Peace King Cup in NJ almost every year since elementary school, and I was also born in Kodiak and haven't been able to go back since!

During a 40-day workshop in CheongPyeong that I attended, I received an Ocean Providence education from Captain Inoe and I felt an immense inspiration that I have never felt before. I felt really close to True Father and True Mother emotionally, and I could feel True Father’s filial piety towards Heavenly Parent. Since then, I have the desire to learn more about the Ocean Providence, experience it firsthand, and fish with True Father. Furthermore, I want to become a proud 2nd gen who can carry on Father's will and bring awareness to Ocean Providence back in my hometown in Hokkaido, Japan.

I'd love to participate in an adventure as great as this one. Being in boy scouts, I've been able to experience the beautiful creation, and it would be a huge opportunity if I could enjoy it in a place like Alaska. This trip would be the perfect opportunity to grow my spiritual self; I've found that being surrounded by the outdoors leads me to feel God's love. I live in a small church community with only a few families, I would love to have the chance to connect with others in the church personally!

Hello my name is Han Phil Olgado, and I'm from Clifton Family Church in Jersey. I'm a assistant teacher and part-time student that works with children from the ages of (12 months to about 6 years). I love being outdoors hiking, chilling with my family and friends or eating delicious food because food is love<3. For NOCP this summer I'm signing up for the CIT program and really want to help the participants and give back to the staff that helped create so much previous memories from when I was a participants as well. If you sponsor me it would really help make this experience I can give to others as well a challenge for myself be an awesome summer of 2024.

"Whoever is concerned about the future, must look towards the ocean" - Father As I am in a transitionary period of my life, graduating from college, Father's words ring in my head. Here I am now, looking toward the ocean. The ocean is a place Father loved deeply, bequeathed to us by God, it covers over seventy percent of our globe. Some could argue this means it is three times more important than our land and fields. My desire is to explore this concept, what is so special about our oceans? Kodiak, Alaska offers the unique setting for such immersive learning experiences. Its rich biodiversity, pristine landscapes, and diverse marine habitats provide the ideal backdrop for studying marine ecosystems, and the principles of life. In sponsoring my attendance at the National Ocean Challenge Program, you would be supporting a dedicated individual committed to making a positive impact on our world, and our oceans. I wholeheartedly believe that experiences like these will move the youth, and dictate the pace, direction, and path our world will take.
